Services

WHAT KIND OF SERVICES WE PROVIDE AND WHAT TYPES OF INTERVENTIONS DO WE PERFORM?

In our practice, all treatments begin with a basic examination of the teeth and if necessary digital orthopan. Dental radiogram or X-ray and orthopantomogram are an important part of the dental examination because they give us information about the possible existence of dental cysts or tumors, showing teeth that did not come out, dental caries, dental fillings, crowns and bridges. It can also be seen bone loss due to paradontopathy, the presence of dental plaque or foreign bodies within the gingiva or bone.

IMPORTANT:

in order to protect both the patient and the staff of the clinic, radiation isolation was carried out according to the ISO standard. Radiation control is performed by the Institute of Nuclear Sciences “Vinča” in its radiation protection laboratory.

Also, during the first examination, patients are informed about maintaining oral hygiene as well as its meaning. Here you can find some basic information about the most common treatments.

01Removing dental plaque and soft deposits

Removing dental plaque and soft deposits is done with an ultrasonic device and polishing paste. Removing dental plaque is a preventative measure that needs to be repeated every 6 months or up to maximum one year. Regular cleansing makes your oral cavity healthy and prevents the emergence of problems that can lead to paradontopathy. Paradontopathy is the most common cause of tooth loss after 35 years of age. Advanced forms of paradentopathy sometimes require a so-called “laryngeal surgery” which involves the compensation of bone loss of bone substitutes.

02Conservative and aesthetic dentistry

We pay special attention to the early detection of caries. When caries is not detected in a timely manner, bacteria cause inflammation of the dental nerve or bone tissue around the root of the tooth. Then the root canal is treated. Small cavities are filled with white fillings, the so-called “white seals”, which are the same colors as the surrounding teeth, thus avoiding the ugly dark seals that remain after classic metallic fillings.

In the past, the tooth with the inflamed nerve was most commonly extracted, while in today’s 95% of cases, the natural tooth is tended to be saved. The root canal inside the tooth is cleansed, enlarged and shaped. Depending on the case, the root canal can then be permanently filled and closed. In the end, the full function of the tooth is preserved by placing a seal or a crown on the treated tooth.

03 - Your teeth as newZoom! Bleaching (Zoom! Lamp)

We also offer tooth whitening treatments. No matter how well you take care of your teeth, teeth become dark as a result of aging and the use of substances that leave stains on teeth (coffee, tobacco…). The whitening of the teeth returns the old color.

This procedure is ideal for patients who have healthy, natural teeth and want to have a better smile. In an hour, your teeth can be even 8 shades whiter.

If you want a “movie smile” Zoom! is your choice!

04Dental prosthetics

Our doctors believe that your natural teeth are best, however, if the tooth is so damaged that it can not perform its function, it is necessary to perform prosthetic remediation. The disadvantage of one or a group of teeth can be compensated by crochets or bridges of metal-ceramic or pure ceramics.

When talking about prosthesis, there are two types of dentures: total and partial (acrylate-plastic). Total dentures are made for patients who have lost all of their teeth in one or both jaws. They are made in a dental laboratory based on a printout taken by a dentist.

The partial prosthesis consists of one or more inserted teeth, and it is held on the surrounding natural teeth by using hooks. A partial prosthesis can also be a metal (visil) that holds on to the adjacent teeth in systems so that the hooks can not be seen.

05Oral surgery

In our practice, all types of surgical procedures are carried out, such as:

* Extraction, usually both regular and complicated

* Root topography resuscitation (surgical removal of periapical processes)

* Jaw bone level

* Preoptotic corrections of soft and bone tissues

All interventions are performed in local anesthesia.

The consultant in the clinic for 15 years has been the maxilofacial surgeon. Dr. Slobodan Lončarević, permanently employed at the Military Medical Academy (VMA).

06Implantology

The dental implant is made of titanium and is incorporated into the tooth bone. The implant procedure itself has 3 phases:

1. Installation of the implant
2. Ostegintegracty (apposition of the bone on the body of the implant, making sure that that the original bone           “receives” the implant
3. Prosthetic reconstruction (whether by crown or by bridge)

The end result is that the implants take up the function as natural teeth. The advantage is also the implantation of the implant at the end of the tooth so that it allows the production of a fixed work instead of a partial denture. In some cases, after extensive analysis, the bladder patients can be relieved of the implant by implanting the entire prosthesis.

The implant systems we use are: Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Bredert

07Orthodontics

Modern orthodontics provides the possibility of correcting irregularities from early childhood to adulthood.

Active and passive mobile orthodontic appliances as well as modern fixed orthodontic appliances (with metal or aesthetic ceramic locks) are being made.

Our consultant for the past 15 years has been prof. Branislav Glišić, PhD, permanently employed at the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade
